In many respects, writing these monthly roundups is the easiest part of the blogging month. After all, it’s largely a bunch of links and numbers. On the other hand, writing these introductory paragraphs is incredibly difficult. There are only so many ways to say it’s been another month of reading. So, without further ado, here’s the roundup.

Reading Stats

  • Books Read: 11
  • Pages Read: 4150
  • Pages per Day: 138.33
  • Average Star Rating: 3.55
  • Book of the Month: The Thousand Earths, by Stephen Baxter
  • Remaining TBR: 20

Book Haul

Another very restrained month from me as I continue to tear through my TBR stack. Just the three books this month. One new release, and two grabbed from a local Oxfam.

  • Leviathan, by Darius Hinks
  • Serpents Among the Ruins, by David R. George III
  • The Enterprise War, by John Jackson Miller

Reviews

It may have been easy on the book-buying, but I certainly got a lot of reviewing done this month. Here are some juicy links for you:

Articles

Just the one article from me this month, as I took a quick look at books I’m hoping to read over the course of the year.

SPSFC

My SPSFC duties came to an end yesterday. I’ve still got a personal wrap-up of the contest as a whole to write, but I’ve finished reading, reviewing, and scoring the books. You can find my thoughts below.

Updates

I’ve been doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work At Boundary’s Edge this month. First off, the homepage has been tidied up a little. Secondly, my long-gestating Discord server is ready for launch next month. Thirdly, I’ve created an Index of all my book reviews. And just in the past few days, I’ve been making arrangements for an author interview in the near future. Now that I’m free of SPSFC obligations, I’m able to put a lot more effort into other places, so you can expect a bit of a shakeup in the coming weeks.
